What is a certificate of need?

In order to open a new healthcare business, transfer ownership, or add or remove designated services, 34 states require a certificate of need (CON). A CON is a legal document produced by the state that certifies there is need for the business development in the state based on demographics, utilization of similar services, and financial feasibility.

This is what your CON expert does for you:

Demographic Analysis

Utilization Research

Consult national and statewide reports to determine how many people need your service.

Financial Feasibility

Forecast future utilization of your service based on current and past need in your service area.
